By Francis Tunwase

The kitchen is one of the most high-traffic areas in the house; everyone eats at some point. Many do not know that there could be ways to make things easier, even in the kitchen, from preserving food to taking out the trash. Here are four kitchen hacks to improve your kitchen experience.

Organizing your cutlery does not have to be a tussle, and you don’t have to get new racks to better organize your spoons and forks. An easy hack would be to get used cups and boards. An easy paint job, and you have a new way to organize your cutlery without spending so much.

2. Store your potatoes for longer

Potatoes are a classic meal ingredient used in cuisines from all over the world. But how can they be kept for longer before growing sprouts? Storing potatoes near apples, but away from onions, is a simple hack to keep them fresh.

3. Use the dull end of your knife for more

Knives are indispensable in any kitchen, but you can use them for more than just chopping or dicing. After chopping food, when you scrape food into a pot or bowl, use the dull side of your knife. Don’t use the sharp end, as this could dull the blade considerably.

4. Arrange bottles of water in your fridge

It’s certain that many people have experienced that brief twinge of frustration when you arrange bottles of water, and they just roll down each other annoyingly. Using a paper clip on the cooling rack is a simple kitchen hack to take that frustration away. It works like magic.
