5 Hacks For Flawless And Glowing Skin

By Kanyi M

Well,.. beauty is skin deep. The truth is, our skin is the largest organ in the body, and it plays a pretty important role in how we feel. Think about all of those people you see at work or school with perfect makeup, gorgeous clothes, and smooth hair. And then you think to yourself, “Wow I really could look fabulous if I just have that effortless beauty.”

That’s why today, we will go over five hacks for glowing skin- something that many of us can attain with just a little bit of know-how and dedication.

1. Mangoes, tomatoes, and olive oil

The first thing we are going to talk about today is what we call “alkaline foods.” Alkaline foods are fruits and vegetables high in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals that help rejuvenate the skin. A natural way to replenish the skin is with a smoothie. Yes, you heard me right! Hydrate your skin with smoothies made of fresh fruits and vegetables a few times a week.

2. Olive oil after shower

This is the best way to moisturize your skin to help it retain its natural glow, especially when you sweat a lot during the day and feel after your bath. Just rub some olive oil on your skin right after you get out of the shower, and then wrap it in a towel and let it stay like that until it absorbs into your skin.

3. DIY masques

Just mix up some natural fruit masks with coconut milk or yogurt or milk, honey, or raw honey (which is a good exfoliate). Yum!

4. Water, water and more water

If you want that natural glow, then you will have to drink lots of water, and I mean lots of it—at least eight glasses a day, if not more. Make sure you are staying hydrated during the day by drinking a glass of water at work when you feel thirsty, so your skin stays glowing all day long.

5. Drink Green Tea Instead of Coffee

Coffee is known to dehydrate the skin, while green tea is known to nourish and add color to the skin. So get your green tea lattes with your girlfriends and ditch that coffee for good!

Reality

Here is the truth about our skin. It shows age, and it shows whatever we want it to display. If you want it to look young with a natural glow, all you need to do is eat healthily and drink lots of water. And exfoliate, a healthy body starts from the inside out, which means your skin will reflect what you put in your body. Avoid sugar, alcohol, and processed food.
